Excellent facilities. The only bad thing is the highway noise, It doesn't stop. They need to build a wall to help deflect the road noise. The prices were good.

This campground is beautiful and clean with nice facilities. However, in all of their promotional material they fail to mention that this mountain paradise is situated immediately adjacent to the #3 highway.

We are tenting. The noise makes it difficult to sleep and interrupts our slumber once we finally do drift off. Attempting to sleep with ear plugs has not improved the situation. This noise does not only affect those of us choosing to sleep in tents rather than RVs. During the day the noise makes conversation difficult, if not impossible.

Picturesque campground, nice hot showers, clean facilities, but TOO MUCH NOISE. Will definitely not be coming back and if I hear anyone talking about camping in the Crowsnest Pass I will absolutely warn them about the issue at this campground. It's only fair to ensure my friends have an enjoyable camp site instead of one they can't wait to check out of.

A sound barrier would go a long way to show your campers that you care about reducing the noise pollution. An honest website explaining the busy highway and the constant noise would help better prepare customers who don't know the area or who may be more noise-averse.

Nice hot showers, book ahead, we got there late and had to take the last spot. It is close to the highway and advisable to use earplugs, but great if you are in a bind for a place to camp. Camp site is gravel pad.

If I would have known about this traffic noise I would have chosen to drive father or pay more for a better campground. I am extremely disappointed in the misleading advertising and the apparent lackadaisical attitude towards the noise.

In addition, there are unsecured garbage cans and bottle recycling areas in the tenting section, where people would be most vulnerable to wildlife injury. The irony of this is that right beside the plastic garbage can with no lid, is a sign telling us to be Bear Aware. A few locking bins would make the area Bear Safe.

The traffic is constant. 24 hours a day there are cars, trucks, and semis driving right outside the campground. The very rare moments of silence with no traffic noise last about 12 seconds at the most. Trust me; we have been timing it. In the middle of the night, one could argue the silence might last 30 seconds but the point is moot. The. Traffic. Noise. Is. Unbearable.

I drove 10 hours from my quiet ranch in Saskatchewan to enjoy a mountain holiday with my kids. We chose Sparwood as a central location for a few close day trips and hiking trails.
